Back in 02/03 I had so many pairs of fake emo glasses, LOL. I think the glasses I have now are partially- emo. They're kind of thick frames but they're rounded. I liked the glasses of the girl on the far left!
Isn't it funny how things that were once so "loser" are now so "cool"? ;)

I've always worm "emo" glasses - for perhaps about 11 years of my 13 years of wearing glasses ;p - Does that make me awesome? NO'RLY?

I sort of wish I needed glasses... sort of. They'd be cumbersome, but like I dress in a way that is probably described as 'quirky crazy indie yet controlled when it comes to lime green tights', so people automatically assume that I am indie and crazy. I don't have anything against the indie scene but I am passionate that much in indie music nor partying nor saving the word ecologically but I am passionate about all thinks geek. I think a lot of superficial misunderstandings could be averted if I just had a pair of glasses.

hehehe - i wish I could get away with dressing quirky! I have a tendency with sticking with what I know works on me - which happens to be black and denim. S'rly - We had to dress in red/pink colours for Chinese New Year and I ended up having to snitch a polo from my sister's almighty wardrobe! FO'SHAME JAYNE! FO'SHAME!
Geek = hooray! - Just attempt to read in the semi-darkness! Sure to give you lovely elongated eyeballs :D

glasses can be quite chic! I think if you're mostly blind, too, you can't see things coming at you from the side (like baseballs or people!) because of a lack of peripheral vision. :O

I feel bad but I HATE FASHION GLASSES!!! Having worn glasses since the first grade and only getting contacts as early as high school I was constantly tortured by schoolmates and sports balls to the face so seeing well-visioned people donning fake, plastic geeky specs is a bit infuriating~ I'll agree cute as hell but maybe I feel they haven't "earned" the right to this "look" the way others have since birth!
And the myopia study is a bit off-putting. A bit "what did you expect" indeed. In my opinion the intelligence could easily come from the fact that kids are cruel and exclusive forcing those who stand out to spend days, alone, in their rooms reading or interacting with their parents thus spending afternoons listening to adults rather than playing hide & go seek on playgrounds.

Hahaha - agree'd - I kinda feel like the "fashion" glasses are a bit of a mock-up of our truly impaired eyes! D; And a high-five to you - we're probably so very intelligent and interesting due to the wanting to have a much more exciting social life ;p

I LOVE FASHION GLASSES!! I've always loved glasses but my eyesight has always been perfect, so my type is "boys who wear glasses" just that! *has never made fun of four eyed people in lifetime* I think the Korean fashion mags and shopping sites, etc use them best. I want some big low to cheek ones!

I used to get teased a lot because the majority of the guys I used to crush on had glasses. People used to say I had a fetish -_-;; I just like how they make people look. I remember reading this little experiment in seventeen magazine or something, this girl went to all these places (cafes, bookstores, malls) with glasses on, and she ended up getting into a lot more conversations with people (especially guys). A week later she goes to all the same places, and gets about a quarter of the same things.
I like the Korean trend of the big, almost old lady glasses. I have a few pair of "emo" glasses, but with out the lenses, cuz I don't need them.
But glasses are love.

"Fashion glasses" have always been retarded imo. I mean, SERIOUSLY? I remember all these celebrities were all up on them at their height and that meant everyone had to have a pair of "plastic glasses". I've worn glasses since the 6th grade and it's really insane how kids could make fun of the kids who HAVE to wear the glasses and then are scrabbling for a pair when a celebrity dons them. WTH??! OY SOCIETY!

I have never liked wearing glasses. I got my first glasses about a year ago. People say I look nice with glasses, but I don't really think so. But now that I think about it, and what my eye specialist said about me having to use them more frequently, I think I want to buy a pair or good glasses for once. The pair I have- well let's just say chose the cheapest pairs and didn1t think more about it.
I do think glasses makes your whole face look different. Therefore I want a pair of nice glasses :D

I wear "emo" glasses on a daily basis maimly because I can't be bothered to wear contacts because I can't fall asleep whenever I want to but that's kind of off topic, haha. I'm a bit half-hearted about my glasses some days I like them, some days I don't. On the days I don't it bugs me when people think I'm a fob. Just because I'm Asian and I wear glasses like these doesn't mean I can't speak English! That's why I don't wear them to work because I know the customers in store won't think I'm an SA but rather a customer D:

Hah - that's true! If you wear thick-rimmed glasses, you can get away with quite a lot! Although it does really suck when people don't take you seriously and think you are really FOB - and reckon you can't speak English! Se behind the times! Heh - I used to work at Boost Juice and people thought I couldn't speak Mandarin - which was pretty funny XD
